provides a warm, rustic environment for family gatherings and vacations, small business conferences, and church retreats. Perched atop Copper Ridge amidst trees and peaceful views, 600 feet above the pristine Clinch River, Rikemo inspires introspection and good conversation. Situated in the far southwestern corner of Virginia near Dungannon, the lodge is easily accessible via scenic roads from Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina.

Rikemo Lodge is rented as an entire unit, for a full day or for overnight; this flexibility makes Rikemo Lodge a suitable choice for many functions. Our staff will work with guests to accommodate many special needs. You may request catered meals, box lunches or other meeting requirements. Simply call ahead for reservations, and let us know how we may be of service to your group.

Owned by The Nature Conservancy and managed as a compatible economic development project, Rikemo Lodge promotes eco-tourism, provides local jobs and uses local services. This community asset provides a rich base from which friends from near and far may explore the Heart of Appalachia!

A Meaningful Watershed Experience curriculum and a Biological Inventory have been developed for the Rikemo property due to the generous financial support of the Virginia Environmental Endowment.
